The Scarlet Flower by Sergey Aksakov

The Scarlet Flower is a Russian folk tale written by Sergey Aksakov.
It is an adaptation of traditional fairy tale Beauty and the Beast.
In Russia Beauty and the Beast story is known mostly via Aksakov's retelling.
Many different editions of this tale exist.

The wolf and the fox by Togolok Moldo

The book of Kirghiz national poet Togolok Moldo (1860-1942).
I even did not hope to find this book, and so, found it by accident!
Excellent illustrations, very good poems-fables, translated
from Kyrgyz into Russian. Yet one more fox to my collection!
The Fox is wearing the Kyrgyz national headdress - elechek.
Very funny fox!

The fable from this book is about the lazy dog, who is very frozen in winter,
but doesn't work in order to get a warm wool dress, very instructive story.
